Last Night :: Every Night :: Tomorrow Night

we have to be bi

2001-12-27

Angel and Joy were visiting. Angel was using the make-up I got for Christmas and made a total mess of it. My sister had let her use it, and I expressed grumpiness that she had, because Angel tended to do that.

Then we were at Joy's house. Joy was trying on an outfit which was totally not her style -- it was more like the comfy, somewhat frumpy style old ladies wear. Soft pants which were stretch, slacks or jogging suit type, and a soft, shapeless pull-over top which was pink in the front and grey in the back. Joy asked Angel and I how it looked, but neither of us wanted to be honest and say it looked horrible, even though I did think it was ugly. She encouraged us, impatiently, to comment, and finally I said, unable to think of something to say, that I liked the color grey. She was irritated and said that wasn't a good comment. Angel and I went into the other room.

I was talking with other friends. Jason, Tami, her husband Jason, and Jess were there. I told Joy we might be going to the club to go dancing, but she said we wouldn't want to because it was Christmas and it would be very crowded. I said I knew because we'd gone on Thanksgiving. It seemed that people who were lonely and had no place to go for the holidays went dancing to be with people.

At the club, there was a man and his wife. He was sort of a boss, someone not to cross. A friend asked me a question -- I answered that we had to be bi, but at least we only had to have the man and his wife as partners. None of us really liked this setup, but we had no choice.

Back at home, I went outside. I went through the gate and around back. The man was lying near the fishpond. He had clothes draped over him, but his privates were showing. I was disgusted, but I said hello to him as he leered at me. I kept walking around the house, eager to get away from him, but then I heard and saw my mom walking towards us. Worried, I covered the man up.

The man took his wife and daughter away. They didn't tell anyone where they were going. They seemed to be running from something and going into hiding. They went to a huge, old, abandoned apartment building. Homeless people had taken up residence in the halls, which were dark, damp, and filled with refuse.

The man and a young male lover were cuddling in bed. A shout came from the hall, calling them disgusting sinners, and saying how horrible and wrong homosexuality was. The man, exasperated, got up and went out. The other man, who was blond and handsome, stayed in bed, waiting. Suddenly from the hall came the sounds of shouts and blows. The lover jumped out of bed, upset, and ran out into the hall. A homeless man stirred in a pile of paper, but the attackers had fled. The lover found the man unconcious on the floor in the dark, and started to pick him up. He was joined by the man's wife and child, and they started to carry the unconcious man back into the apartment.
