Last Night :: Every Night :: Tomorrow Night
conflict without, conflict within
2002-02-04
Poor recall. Somewhat unorganized. We were riding horses, or leading them, down a long trail. It was some sort of quest, and I was not the only one. The going was hard. We led them past a pond or pool. We had problems with some people. There was a room with a meeting going on above the pool. It was like a mall. The meeting seemed to be a business meeting; everyone was dressed nicely and sitting at a long low table. A guy from our group (leading the horses) went up to the meeting, with one of our enemies. There were piles of shoes in one corner, which he moved because they were two heavy. Purposefully, he led the enemy and several other people over to once side of the meeting room, and their combined weight broke through the floor, and they fell, splashing into the pool. It was part of the plan. The guy who did this died. I was in a battle with a woman. She was my enemy, and there was great strife between us. most of our fighting was subtle and underhanded. I flew around, hoping she wouldn't see me. Sometimes she won, sometimes I did. The woman brought the guy who'd crashed through the floor back to life as one of her minions. We were in a classroom, and I hovered near the ceiling, hoping I wouldn't be seen. We tried to win people over to our side. I was more successful than she. Buffy was on my side. We were at a house, working on plans. A boy came to the door; he was very young, and he called us out. We knew it was a trap, but went anyway. The boy led us to the evil woman on the porch. She tried to shoot us. I grappled with her and got the gun, which was all covered in some sort of bumpy tannish stuff. I held the gun against her temple, pressing hard, holding the woman tightly. Only the gun wasn't visible. Buffy commented, had it gone invisible? It had, which only showed more the woman's trickery. We scraped some of the tan stuff off, and took out the bullets. Spike came and was taking care of us. We both were weary and tired from this fight. We needed to get somewhere, but the roads were confusing. They would change as soon as you got anywhere. If you drove or walked, you would get nowhere. I realized one needed to take a bus, and then the roads would stay put. Spike and I started walking to the bus stop. We were on Rock Creek. I saw my family's house, and realized I was looking at another life. They wouldn't know me and they were lost to me. I was someone else now. I was very sad and felt lost. Spike asked what I was doing as I walked up to the house and sat near the entrance, looking in. I watched Jess and felt teary and heartbroken. Spike asked how long I was staying, not knowing what was happening, but observing my sorrow. I didn't answer. A man and a woman, husband and wife, had relationship troubles. At one point, they were going to be intimate, but something happened and the man left, with no thought to the woman. She was unconscious and full of pain. I took her away to a quiet outdoor place. I washed her gently.
